But that’s not where things started.
In 2017, I opened my private practice whilst I was on maternity leave from my senior dietitian role at the hospital.
Despite having 8 years of experience in dietetics, I felt like a fish out of water when it came to running a business.
I was basically winging it.
Nonetheless, I grew my in-person practice really quickly and even doubled my full-time salary at the hospital.
The problem? It felt like I was working so much more.
With a 6 weeks waitlist, 10-hour workdays, and more paperwork to complete once home (plus a toddler to chase around!), I was on the verge of burnout.
That's when I started dabbling into Instagram, getting leads from all parts of the world, and realising there was a smarter way to take my business to the next level: online courses and programs.
In 2019, I launched my first online IBS program. Subsequently, I had a $32k launch but what I really loved was how much better my business FELT. I could help people globally without trading my time for money.
I got a taste of what it felt like to 'make money in my sleep' and it finally became clear that THIS was the kind of freedom and fulfillment I wanted more of.
